This Is For Keeps Roundel

This is a print of the 'This Is For Keeps' Roundel.

I was pouring through a collection of old TIME magazines when I spotted this image. It came from a 1940s issue featuring Winston Churchill and was captioned with the words "This is for keeps". It jumped out at me and spoke of nostalgia for relationships, that feeling you get that this is for keeps.

I've mixed it with the influences of urban environment. The torn and faded bill posters, street signage and graphics that make up our towns and cities. Repurposed here to create a unique and bright composition that can conjure up more visual interest with each new look.
